Apostolic Nuncio to Zambia and Malawi in the middle.
The Apostolic Nuncio to Zambia and Malawi, HE Julio Murat has urged the Catholic Secretariat staff to persevere in hope as they save the Church.
“Perseverance in hope is very important. Ask the Lord to increase your hope, charity and faith,” Archbishop Murat said. Speaking in his homily during holy mass celebrated for the Catholic Bishops of Zambia and Catholic Secretariat staff on Tuesday, 17th January, 2017, Archbishop Murat said that hope gives a new lease of life and brings about dynamism in life. He noted that without hope even at 20 [years old] one may be already old. Archbishop Murat further added that desperation deprives the sense of purpose in life. He based his homily on the readings of day taken from Letter the Hebrews 6:10-20 and the Gospel from Mark 2:23-28. The Catholic Bishops of Zambia have gathered in Lusaka for their 1st Plenary meeting of 2017 at Kapingila house. The meeting opened on Monday and closes on Friday, 27th January, 2017.
