The Catholic Bishops of Zambia have paid glowing tribute to Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops (ZCCB) National Education Secretary Brother Charles Kabeta, SC for his contribution towards the pastoral and social ministry of the Church. And the Bishops say the Catholic Church’s schools are prized because of the levels of sacrifice, commitment and systems the church has put in place through its work of evangelisation. Speaking on behalf of other Bishops and through the National Pastoral Coordinator Fr. Justin Matepa, ZCCB Bishop Director for Education Rt. Rev. Charles Kasonde said the prized status has been achieved through coordination. Bishop Kasonde, said this at the Silver Jubilee celebration of the ZCCB National Education Secretary Bro. Charles Kabeta held on Saturday, 23rd September 2017 at Chelston Parish in Lusaka. The Bishops further congratulated Brother Kabeta of the Sacred Brothers Congregation for his untiring services to Christ and the Church in the last 25 years of his religious life. Meanwhile, ZCCB Secretary General Father Cleophas Lungu in his homily thanked Brother Kabeta’s family that natured his gift of religious life. Father Lungu also said that the celebration of 25 years of religious life by Brother Kabeta gives an example of fidelity and total commitment to one’s vocation. Scores of Christians that included educationists and family members attended Br. Kabeta’s Jubilee celebration.
