The Catholic Bishops have finally endorsed the ZEC Communication department’s strategic plan which among other things effectively turns the department into an agency to now called the Catholic Media Services. The Bishops also gave their assent to the Yatsani TV Production studios’ three year strategic plan. Yatsani TV studios, which is has always been a sub-department of the ZEC Communication department will now be called CMS-TV, which stands for Catholic Media Services TV. The shift from a mere department to Catholic Media Services is in fact an acknowledgement of the many media services the Catholic Church is engaged in. The new vision of the Catholic Media Services seeks to be of coherent service to the Zambia Episcopal Conference, Dioceses in Zambia, the Zambian public and in particular the Catholic Church at large.

Fr Paul Samasumo’s title has also changed from Communication Secretary to Executive Director for CMS. Read more>>
